Wood is one of the most appreciated materials for its mechanical properties, for its calorific value and as a raw material for artistic production as well as in multiple industrial sectors. It has many uses in construction and industry (paper industries, chemical industries…) and as a fuel.

Wood production is most often the result of forestry. The wood sector covers the printing, construction, energy or furniture sectors. Wood construction is also a sector that is growing with a 20% increase in demand in 5 years. 

Wood is acclaimed for its environmental qualities, as a regulator of humidity inside the building but also for its thermal and acoustic qualities. Wood transmits heat 15 times slower than concrete and 400 times slower than steel.
